The making

80 hours

There in the progress photos you'll see a tree growing uncontrollably. That's the start of this drawing. Something in me was growing rapidly. that piece was different, but it was still just a drawing. The Dreamscape hit different. I had unlocked something else within me and this was it. I entered a state of mind I didn't know existed. I could draw there for hours on end without thinking. there was something in me pouring into the art at this point... something I knew I would have to explore more. It started all of this.

The story

What happened

I was going to college at the time. I promised myself I wouldn't get into a relationship before going off, but Iszabelle had a way about her. "We'll never know if we don't try." She doesn't know it, but she sparked my creative skills to a new height. The dreamscape and the following series were born.

The idea

What the work is exploring

This work asks how is this possible? What is possible? It's a question that every piece after explores and attempts to answer.
